Article Title: An adenosine A3 receptor agonist inhibits DSS-induced colitis in mice through modulation of the NF-κB signaling pathway

Figure Lengend Snippet: (A) IF was performed using DAPI to counterstain the nuclei and a specific antibody to label A3AR proteins. The strong green fluorescence signal indicating A3AR was observed mainly in the colonic crypt epithelial cells. The expression of A3AR was reduced in DSS colitis mice. Treatment with 2-Cl-IB-MECA showed no obvious effect on A3AR expression. A3AR mRNA (B) and protein (C) expression in colonic epithelial cells were measured by qRT-PCR and western blot, respectively. Compared with the normal group, the mRNA and protein expression levels of A3AR significantly decreased after DSS induction of colitis (* P < 0.01) and showed no significant alterations among the other three groups including DSS, DMSO, and 2-Cl-IB-MECA groups ( P > 0.05).
